A night of live music and fresh DJs in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital - The Big Gig is back!
Throughout 2019 SkateHut have been involved in many fund-raising events, raising money for their long-time charity partners Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Earlier this year 5 members of the SkateHut team ran the Birmingham 10K raising over £900 in the process. The latest fund-raising event is The Big Gig - a night of live music, fresh DJs and electric atmosphere. The whole night is sponsored by SkateHut’s shipping partners Yodel.co.uk.
This year’s gig will take place on Saturday 5th October 2019 at Benjamin’s Halesowen. On the night entertainment will feature Midlands-based funk and soul group Cantaloop, and SkateHut’s own house band – Golden Bedspread. Other entertainment will include DJ sets from JY-ME, Jamirish and YungDeej. Tickets to The Big Gig will cost £5 in advance and £6 on the door. Head to our Halesowen store to get your £5 advanced tickets. All proceeds from the event will go to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
“We have the best Funk-Punk-Soul-Jazz-Hip-Hop band in the Midlands playing. Cantaloop have performed at loads of well-known European festivals including Glastonbury. SkateHut’s own newly formed band – Golden Bedspread - will be making their debut on the night too. We’re very excited for The Big Gig this year and we hope to smash last year’s proceeds, so we hope everyone will come out in support.”
