To execute a backhand throw, you need to grasp the frisbee with your strongest hand; with your thumb on top and your fingers underneath. What other games can we play with a frisbee?
The most common way to catch a frisbee is the ‘pancake catch’. With a pancake catch, it’s all in the name. You’ll want to use both of your hands to clap the frisbee between your palms, sort of like a sandwich. Place your hands in front and slightly above your chest, with your fingers pointing upwards in a position that suggests that you are ready to clap the frisbee in your hands. Be sure to adjust the height and position of your hands accordingly as the frisbee approaches, before squeezing your hands together as the frisbee makes contact with your palms. If you feel confident enough, you can also try catching the frisbee with just the one hand, where you will hold your palm open, facing the frisbee, adjusting the height at which you are positioning your hand depending on the angle the frisbee is approaching you.
