Roller Skate Group Guide

Groups

Roller Skate Southampton is a volunteer based Skate community that hosts sessions every saturday afternoon around the Guildhall area. Within them, they support and uplift local crews, like @WESKATESOTON - the all inclusive female led skate club. With an all wheels welcome attitude, all riders of all backgrounds are enthused to come by. They also organise street skates around the parks and ocean village in Summer.

 

 

Bristol Quads hold quad only sessions every month on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Mostly Skating indoor at Campus Pool, BQ also love popping over the bridge to Wales to Skate at Rampworld. Their favourite outdoor park is Warmley Forest, a newly renovated super smooth concrete park just off the Bristol to Bath Cycle path. Bristol has tons of outdoor park choices across Filton, Bradley Stoke and Nailsea. Venturing further afield Bath and Midsomer Norton have some lush parks worth a stop and Skate.

 

 

Portsmouth Park Skaters are a social media based community that aims to connect local Skaters. Mainly skating at Southsea Skatepark and local parks around the area. Frequent meets are generally organised for Bransbury in Portsmouth, Denmead skatepark, Fareham skatepark and Pitt St (freshly constructed indoor park in Portsmouth) when the weather is bad.

 

 

MCR Skate organises general meetups all over the city. Frequenting Media City, Liverpool Road, Alexandra Park mostly, they also rent a studio in Ardwick during the winter. MCR Skate crew can be spotted street Skating throughout Manchester. Salford has more scenic skate areas. Some skaters also use Projekts SkatePark and others outside the city, as well as popping over to our pals at Manchester Greystone.

 

Newquay Quad Skaters host sessions every Sunday at NQY Sports Centre. Originally an online collective, their Facebook group continues to grow via word of mouth - transcending the parasocial sphere. In warmer months, weekly meets are held at Concrete Waves in Newquay. The Newquay gang also love to hop over to St Ives, St Newlyn East, Cubert and the Goonhavern Pump Track.

 

Leeds West Rollers are pillars of their community, frequently hosting various skate meets for all styles and abilities. Fortnightly Sunday afternoon Skates are at Farsley Celtic FC, but LWR also hold monthly roller disco on the last Friday of every month. On top of this, local legend Maggie from Skate Scholarship holds rhythm and dance Roller Skating classes on the first Sunday of the month for all abilities. Throughout Summer, they also hold Skate sessions outside at Armley Park, Kirkstall Abbey, Yeadon Tarn and many other places around West Leeds. 

 

 

Secret Skate Society UK Located in and around the Midlands, SSSUK welcomes all wheels to join in all variants of Skating. Hosting Park, Rink and Trail Skate events at popular WestMids locations like Asylum, House Skatepark and Skate Parlour parks and rinks like Rollerworld and Skateland. All wheels, skills and abilities are encouraged and the community over 100 strong continues growing steadily every year.
