But for people who are first time buyers or are perhaps looking to branch out to a different brand we have put together our top Mountain Bike contenders for this season.
GT
GT Bikes have been a mainstay of the bike scene from their early beginnings in BMX starting in the 80s all the way to today where they are globally recognised and have a roster of bike models that cover all disciplines. The 2021 selection of mountain bikes includes the Fury, Force and Sensor as their full suspension offerings and the Aggressor and Avalanche covering hardtails.
Reasons to change to GT Bikes for 2021
The Fury Expert 2021 with its carbon frame and modern geometry is capable of handling all terrains in all weather conditions with ease and will be perfect for any die-hard downhill fans but if you are starting out and want something more recreational then the starter models in the Aggressor range are perfect for commute or weekend rides.
NS
NS bikes continue to go from strength to strength in the bike world. Including their team signing of the Godziek brothers with Dawid Godziek hot off an X Games Gold win in 2019! The NS 2021 range includes the Snabb, Synonym, Define and Fuzz models each packed with amazing specs!
Reasons to change to NS Bikes for 2021
This year’s Fuzz model has been properly put through its paces by Szymon Godziek at the Red Bull Rampage whilst also making a name for itself by taking podiums at major DH events worldwide. The Fuzz also now comes with a redesigned frame to allow for a tyre increase from 27.5” in last years model to 29”!
Mondraker
Mondraker have been pushing innovation all the way since 2001 when they started. Never scared to take risks and push what is capable of the humble mountain bike and seeing their results clean up at the podium time after time! The 2021 range includes the Enduro Foxy R, XC Race F-Podium Carbon and the very super, Super Enduro SuperFoxy Carbon R!
Reasons to change to Mondraker in 2021
Known for their frame geometry being longer makes for a unique and rewarding experience, allow yourself to ride further forward and you’ll feel the bike handle turns down hill like no other!
Mafiabike
Mafiabike out of all the contenders in our list may at first seem like the odd ones out. Formed in 2009 and pushing some amazing models in the BMX scene it’s their work through the wheelie bike culture that lead to the release of their Lucky 6 STB or Street Terrain Bike. Based on the traditional mountain bike frame but reinforced for wheelie culture riding this bike is a fantastic way to commute and get around and can handle itself not just on the street but on rougher terrain too!
Reasons to change to MafiaBike in 2021
The Lucky6 STB is an amazing option for people who want a fun commuter bike with an aggressive mountain bike frame or check out their Black Jack models for dirt bike riding!
